Golf Classic and Barbecue |

On Friday the 15th and Saturday 16th of June a golf classic and barbecue took place in Fintona Golf Club to mark the 10th anniversary of Paul McGirr. The event turned out to be a roaring success with 35 teams competing for the top prize. Pictured on the right is Liam O'Neill a colleague of Paul's on Fermanagh Colleges All-Ireland winning team. | |
In a keenly contest event with a score of 100points top prize went to Barry O’Neill, Kevin Kelly, John Wallace and Patrick Molloy. The second placed team with a score of 98 points was John McGoldrick, Peter McGarvey, Barry Lynch and Declan Catterson. Third place was a tie on 94 points, however on count back the prize went to Seamus McNabb, A Corry, J Donnelly and Declan O’Hagan. Pictured below from left to right is the winning team of Barry O’Neill, Kevin Kelly, John Wallace and Patrick Molloy. Following the golf a large crowd attended the barbecue and disco. During the barbecue the (1st of the print) ‘Spirit of Paul McGirr’ jersey, signed by the current Tyrone Senior squad was auctioned by the well known auctioneer John Kelly. This Jersey was purchased for a huge sum by Dromore native Adrian O’Neill. Pictured on the right is Michael McGirr and daughter Sioned presenting the jersey to Adrian O'Neill. |  |
